He does 99% of the cooking and I do 99% of the cleaning. I dont like the way he cleans (I am borderline clean freak) so I banished him from chores (unless I cant get to it, then he does it anyway) and he makes sure we get fed. I am sure this wouldn't work with everyone, but I think it all boils down to communication. If you feel as though you are doing too much, and the other is doing too little, talk about it. If they aren't willing to hear you out on this little issue, who's to say they will hear you out on anything else down the line? Everyone has to pull their weight - being female doesn't make you the maid.
