I suppose there are different situations. I mean, while still wrong, I can sure as hell understand a fling in another country while someone is serving in a war… as opposed to your sig other sleeping with his/her EX, right under your nose, and right in the same town. HUGE F’ing difference. No??

Yeah but see Kevin, here’s the thing: if you or I did something like this (which we wouldn’t) we also would not hold on to it for two years and finally reveal it. We’d fess up right away–that way it wouldn’t fester and could be dealt with right away.

Like old couples who have been together through wars, made a family and loved for decades and then (30 years later) the husband says he cheated on her in Iwo Jima, or she had an affair when he was fighting in Korea. Who cares? It was 3 decades ago? The only thing information like this will do is destroy.

I’m not trying to change your mind. You have a right to whatever you believe and I get it. Just on this particular issue I’ll disagree.

I’ll never agree with you guys, here. Sure, keep it from me forever… I’ll never know… life will be grand. But deep down, you’re not only a cheating whore, but a deceptive liar who made me live through our entire relationship, if not LIVES, under false pretenses. I mean, yeah… you can say that if I never, EVER know, what’s the difference. Well, in this situation where we’re talking about the scenario, and therefore I do know, I think it’s a pretty heartless thing to do. Call me stupid or naive, whatever. But I tend to believe that love goes way beyond what you see on the surface… or only what people decide you should know.
