My In-Phallible Addiction

Karri and Trista have asked that I share my battle with addiction in the hopes it will help others. There is NOT a twelve step program for women like me. We must embrace our addiction and learn how to live with it on our own terms. My terms include indulging all of my phallic-based desires, up to and including the ultimate high of their creamy goodness.

Addictive, intoxicating, and reckless; everything beautiful in the world all wrapped up in one package. It makes me smile for no reason at all like a giddy little school girl. I sing sappy love songs out loud without any remembrance of the pain those same lyrics may have once caused. It’s baring my heart and soul…open and inviting without regard for the consequences. Strangers notice it and those who know me question it. A high like no other and nothing else seems to matter except for when I’ll be getting my next “Love Crack” fix.

Admittance is the first step, America

Since Eve-101 (the show) will be dealing with the subject of addictions this week, I would like to speak candidly on 12 step programs for a moment if I could. You are undoubtedly familiar with these, yes?
Basically, you get a set of guiding principles to aid an individual through an addictive, compulsive or behavioral problem. Admitting that one has a serious, uncontrollable problem; recognizing that a higher (spiritual) power can help; inventorying and admitting character defects; asking one’s higher power for deliverance from these defects; making amends to those one has harmed; and helping others with the same problem are just some of the important steps you need to take. And of course you get support groups full of people like you, who understand what you are going through.
