Sociable Eve
July 17, 2008
Alright…so Karri’s “He said” fella bailed on her at the last minute…so we decided to use this unexpected opening to play catch-up with you…our faithful readers.
First on the agenda…the return of the show! Yes folks, we shall have our triumphant return tomorrow night and we will be talking all about escorts, aka overpriced dates. Uh huh. I shall reserve my opinions on the issue for the show. But you don’t want to miss it…I am probably going to be more outlandish than usual. (Which if you have watched the show is really saying something…) Anyhow, tomorrow night, Friday July 17th, at 8pm pacific. And if you miss the live do not forget you can watch the archive the very next day on thestream.tv.
Also, next week’s show is going to be AMAZING. It will be the return of “Outed”, and the trip we are going on for this show will outdo all the others. So mark it on your calendars, kids. Plus we are having an amazing guest, one you will definitely have questions for, so you will want to watch live…just saying.
Secondly, we are having a HUGE summer sale over at our café press store. Karri has slashed the prices, so go score yourselve some Eve-101 gear. It’s quality stuff and it goes to a very good cause, which would be your two starving artist, blogging, hosting goofball entertainers. Help us pay for our internet connections, hmm?
Now, lastly…as you know, it takes a lot of effort to promote and sustain a blog website. It’s a saturated market…one must strive to get the word out. So one of the best ways to do this is through various social media sites. We happen to belong to (more than) a few out there…and we would love it if you would join us and help us get the word out about Eve.
Whew! It’s a lot, I know…but all these sites are great networking tools that can truly help us to grow. Growth insures that you have a place to read us in the future. So please, take a few moments to join us on these sites…it would mean the world to us.
And lastly, we don’t usually push this, but since we are at the six month mark we would really like to have a clearer picture of who we have joining us on a regular basis. So we would really appreciate it if those of you who haven’t already done so would subscribe to our feed. It not only helps us out, but it insures that you don’t miss one tasty Eve-101 morsel!
And to make up for all this work today, we will have a special co-blog a la Trista and Karri tomorrow…and its readers choice! Leave us comments on what you would like to see us discuss(argue about!) in a blog for you, or if you see a topic already in a comment that you like, leave a comment “voting” for it. We will stop taking ideas and votes at 3:00 pm Pacific so we can write it, so get your ideas in early. Give us some good ones, and we will pick our favorite out of the most popular ones.
Love you guys!!!

Dream Weaver
May 3, 2008
This week Eve-101 is having a pajama party! Join Trista and Karri with their special guest Kelly Sullivan Walden, author of “I Had The Strangest Dream.” We will be doing an addition of Confessions of a Single girl in which we talk about the common “cheating” dreams and what they might mean. We will be having a very special segment of Ask Eve with Kelly helping out an Eve-101.com reader in need. And we will be doing another rendition of Ever Wonder, having Kelly interpret wacky dreams from the folks at home. It’s going to be dream-tastic!

Yo Eve,
Not too many dudes asking about chicks around here, what’s up with that? The way I see it “Eve” knows more than a swinging dick in the locker room (which I’d lose my pass to if the word got out that I did this). But here’s how it went down.
My lady and I had a killer night out at the club. After getting our drink and groove on we went back to my pad and I rocked her world until she begged me stop. A few hours after she passed out she wakes me yelling out, “oh, Steve!” (That’s the dude’s name that banged her a couple of years ago.) I shook her and asked, “what the hell?” She said she didn’t know what I was talking about. I couldn’t get it out of my head so I slept on the couch. That was a month ago and I don’t even look at her the same, I think she’s lying about everything.
Eve, is my woman getting down with this other dude again?
Later,

Loneliness can be conquered only by those who can bear solitude.
~ Paul Tillich
Living alone is like living without any mirrors. It forces you to stop relying on others to tell you what they see in you; it brings you true introspection.
It can give you both personal understanding and clarity, if you allow it to.
Conversely, constant companionship can be a safety net that leads one to become overly complacent. When in the confines of my various co-habiting relationships I would all too often adapt to their perimeters. Sometimes I would shine in these relationships, but more often my light would go dim. I was slowly burning out whilst making a virtue of doing what I disliked. I was not being true to myself.
I was making myself miserable.
